of Historic Northampton

at the Parsons House at 58 Bridge Street
Light refreshments courtesy of Florentine Films/Hott Productions
will be served starting at 5:00 PM

The president of the board of trustees of Historic Northampton has called a special meeting of the membership. In this 109th year, the board and the new Director, Nan Wolverton, are reviewing our institutional history and envisioning the museum's future. Why is it important to "do" history in Northampton? What are our visions of where we could be in five years?

We invite you to join our discussion of these questions. We will share with you an overview of our current circumstances in regard to finances, physical plant and collections management.

The agenda includes a short business meeting to request the membership's approval of 1. the full slate of the board of trustees for election by the membership, as required in the current bylaws, and 2. a new set of bylaws developed by the nominating committee and endorsed by the board. The new bylaws reflect current trends in small museums.
