Party of the Century Benefits Historic Northampton

Hundreds gathered at the Depot Restaurant on the evening of October 9th to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the former train station. Guests danced to the music of the big band era, dined on fine cuisine and viewed an exhibit of fin de siecle railroad memorabilia. Also on display were several of artist Charlie Hunter's paintings of the Depot from the Hart Gallery.

Celebrants included Mayor Mary L. Ford, who presented Depot owner, Chuck Bowles, with a commemorative plaque designed by Historic Northampton trustee, Barbara Blumenthal. Prodeeds from the event, approximately $3000, will go to support Historic Northampton's effort to expand its museum and visitor's center.
