Northampton Architecture- Quadrant 1

Historic Northampton: Shepherd House, c. 1796

This house was originally built by Seth Russell in 1796. In 1856, Susan Monroe Shepherd purchased the house where she lived with her husband, Henry Shepherd. The front porch was added in 1840 and the side porch in 1899. The photograph below dates from the 1880's.
